Imapct with Color

After undergoing a major home renovation, homeowners were in need of a complete landscape redesign and installation. A single river birch clump was one of the only plants to be preserved in the new design. To save the tree, a new retaining edge was needed along the front corner of the property, allowing for a beautiful stacked fieldstone wall to anchor the front gardens. Pre-renovation, the property was surrounded by 4’ wooden privacy fence situated along the permitter. Relocating the fence opened up the front gardens to viewed and enjoyed by the neighborhood, while keeping the back and side yards enclosed for family and pets. Bluestone paths lead to main egresses as well as through the gardens to create logical flow through the space. Shrubs and perennials were selected to suite their microclimate and provide garden foundation year after year. Annuals are used heavily to add lots of color and drama and fill those very hard to garden urban areas.
